Hurricane Idalia was a devastating natural disaster that left a trail of destruction in its wake. With winds reaching up to 155 miles per hour and torrential rainfall, the hurricane caused widespread damage to homes, buildings, and infrastructure.
In the aftermath of the storm, communities throughout the affected areas have been working tirelessly to clean up and rebuild. From emergency responders to volunteers, people have come together to provide aid and support to those in need.
One of the biggest challenges in the aftermath of Hurricane Idalia has been the widespread power outages. Many homes and businesses were left without electricity for days, if not weeks, making it difficult to access essential services and communications. In response, utility companies and government agencies have been working around the clock to restore power and repair damaged infrastructure.
Another major challenge has been the impact on the local economy. Many businesses were forced to close their doors due to damage from the storm, leaving workers without jobs and disrupting supply chains. As the recovery process continues, local leaders are working to provide assistance to affected businesses and stimulate economic growth.
Despite the challenges, there have been many stories of resilience and hope in the aftermath of Hurricane Idalia. From neighbors helping neighbors to volunteers providing support to those in need, communities have come together to rebuild and recover.
Looking ahead, it is important to prepare for future natural disasters and take steps to mitigate their impact. This includes investing in infrastructure, improving emergency response systems, and educating communities about how to prepare for and respond to natural disasters.
In the aftermath of Hurricane Idalia, the road to recovery is long and challenging, but with perseverance, support, and collaboration, affected communities will continue to rebuild and thrive.

Please feel free to call me with any questions,
WHAT IS A PUBLIC INSURANCE ADJUSTER?
A Public Insurance Adjuster is a professional claims person who is Licensed by the State Insurance Department to advise and assist homeowner’s individuals and businesses in the preparation of claims against their insurance companies. He or she must pass a comprehensive test, post a bond with the state, and comply with continuing education requirements.
WHY SHOULD I USE A PUBLIC ADJUSTER?
Even though most Company, Independent, or Catastrophe (CAT) adjusters try to be fair, they will have a tremendous workload after each hurricane. During a Catastrophic Event, An Insurance Company Adjuster simply does not have the time to give intense personal service to each claimant. Additionally, A company adjuster’s first duty is to the insurance company who he or she represents.
A Public Adjuster is hired by you, the policyholder, to protect only your interests.
He or she works exclusively for you and has no ties to any insurance company.
HOW IS A PUBLIC ADJUSTER PAID?
In Louisiana, Public Adjusters work on an hourly or flat fee basis.
IF I HAVE ALREADY SUBMITTED A CLAIM, CAN I STILL HIRE A PUBLIC ADJUSTER?
It is usually best to hire a Public Adjuster immediately after a loss. However, depending on circumstances, a Public Adjuster may be able to assist you even though your claim was submitted.
DO PUBLIC ADJUSTERS HANDLE CLAIMS OTHER THAN HURRICANES?
Yes. A Public Adjuster is licensed to handle all claims of loss to property against your own insurance company, as well as contingent expenses, such as loss of use, business loss of income, and other expenses. A good Public Adjuster is an expert in all types of loss, including windstorm, explosion, snow, hail, smoke, water etc.
WILL MY INSURANCE AGENT OR BROKER ACT AS AN ADJUSTER ON MY BEHALF?
An insurance broker serves you at all times in connection with your insurance coverage. It should be understood that an insurance agent is a legal representative of the insurance company, not you.
MANY PUBLIC ADJUSTERS ARE CALLING ON ME. HOW DO I CHOOSE THE RIGHT ONE?
The choice of a Public Adjuster should be a careful one, as you are putting a large asset in the hands of someone you probably will not know. You should carefully interview a prospective Public Insurance Adjuster just as if you were hiring any employee or contractor. Check references thoroughly and carefully question each person with whom you speak. Often a lower hourly rate or flat fee does not necessarily mean you will be better off after your loss / insurance settlement.
If you're struggling to get the compensation you deserve after a hurricane, our team of public adjusters is here to help. With years of experience and a commitment to getting our clients the best possible outcome, we are the right choice for anyone dealing with the aftermath of a natural disaster.
Don't wait any longer to get the help you need.
